I had a lovely time at this unique historical property where I could feel the charm of old-world stone cottages. The communal areas were fantastic for meeting fellow guests, and the surrounding natural beauty made my stay even more special. However, the room could get quite cold and lacked a kettle, which was an inconvenience during my stay.

Rooms

The room I stayed in was cozy, but it got pretty cold at night unless I kept the heater on. Additionally, there was no kettle, which was a bit of a letdown.

The breakfast options were quite basic, mostly continental with toast and light salads; a boiled egg would have been a nice addition.

The communal dining area was well-maintained, allowing for great social interactions, but there could be some improvement in the room amenities.

I had a great time staying at this unique historical property. The combination of the charming stone cottage and beautiful highland scenery truly captivated me. However, I was a bit disappointed with the breakfast options, as they were quite basic and not freshly prepared. Overall, the hospitality and engaging activities made my stay enjoyable, but there's definitely room for improvement in dining.

The room was comfortable and clean, but I expected a bit more for the price. It’s nice that they’ve fitted the space with a Dyson cool/heating fan, which was a pleasant surprise.
Service

The service was generally friendly, especially with regard to accommodating my dog, although there were some issues with house rules that made for a slightly awkward experience at times.

The location just outside Glasgow is beautiful and quiet, ideal for nature lovers. I was pleased with its proximity to the Devil's Pulpit and local trails.
Dining

The breakfast included was quite underwhelming with pre-packaged options and I had to pay extra for a heartier cooked option, which felt misleading.

I had a lovely stay at this unique historical property that truly offered a special charm. The accommodations were comfortable and allowed for some wonderful social interactions with other guests. The natural scenery around the hotel was stunning, and it was fantastic to have pet-friendly options. However, while the dining experience was enjoyable, I found the breakfast selection to be somewhat limited, and the cost for a cooked option felt a bit steep.

The accommodations were comfortable, and I especially enjoyed the sense of community in the dining and lounge areas. Although the breakfast options were a bit limited, the overall charm of the place really outweighed this minor detail. Plus, the stunning highland scenery was a breathtaking bonus.

I had a unique stay in a historical property surrounded by stunning highland scenery. The atmosphere was vibrant with opportunities for social interaction among guests, and I truly appreciated the pet-friendly policy. While the dining options were delicious, the self-service breakfast could have offered a bit more variety. The cleanliness of the facilities was commendable, but the room setup was slightly inconvenient, as I had to go through a shared space to access the toilet.

Rooms

The room was very small and cold without the air heater, which made it a bit uncomfortable at night. I had to walk through the toilet shower room to get to my bedroom.
